This masterpiece was recorded at Abbey Road Studios in two sessions between May 1972 and January 1973. Engineer Alan Parsons had worked on the Beatles’ Abbey Road and Let It Be. He first worked with Pink Floyd on Atom Heart Mother in 1971.
That record is a little bomb, just listen to it and you get straight to Neptune. One of my favourite parts is that crazy transition between Us and Them and Any Colour You Like.. And then Richard Wright takes on and builds his thing, magical.
